GMC has announced the 2024 Sierra EV Denali Edition 1 will add more electric range than previously estimated, expanding the already impressive list of features that will be available from launch.

“Denali has been an industry icon for 25 years and the 1st Edition Sierra EV Denali offers customers a unique opportunity to be part of the next chapter,” said Duncan Aldred, global vice president, Buick and GMC. “As a unique launch trim, the 1st Edition is truly the Denali of EVs and represents the pinnacle of GMC.”

Leveraging GM’s Ultium Platform, the EV pickup will come standard with GM’s estimated 440-mile range.1 for the 2024 model year, a 10 percent increase from the previous estimate of 400 miles. The 1st Edition Sierra EV Denali will also launch with GM’s estimated 10,000 pounds of maximum towing capacity.2 and 1,450 pounds of maximum load3an increase of 500 pounds and 150 pounds respectively from the original estimate.

Retailers are currently working with Version 1 holders in the order process.

The Sierra EV has a blend of true truck capability, next-generation power, purpose-built technology and Denali’s signature luxury design cues inside and out.

Among the packed list of features in Version 1 is CrabWalk3, a unique GMC feature that, at low speeds, allows the angle of the rear wheels to mimic the angle of the front wheels. This feature – which is also available on the GMC HUMMER EV Pickup and SUV – allows the vehicle to move forward diagonally and can provide additional options for drivers when they need to drive in difficult areas.

Other important features include:

  • GM estimates 754 horsepower and 785 lb-ft of torque in Max Power mode.
  • 800 Volt DC Public Fast Charging with a capacity of up to 350kW, enabling up to 100 miles of range in approximately 10 minutes4.
  • Available with Super Cruise, the industry’s first hands-free advanced trailer assist technology. The technology is expected to be available on approximately 750,000 miles of parallel roads in the United States and Canada by the end of 2025.5.
  • Adaptive Aero Suspension All of which allows for a more comfortable ride as well as the ability to raise or lower the truck by approximately 2 inches.
  • 4-Wheel Steer, which not only enables CrabWalk, but also enables all four wheels to work together for less turning circle and improved steering.
  • GMC’s first MultiPro MidGateâ„¢, which provides a maximum floor height of nearly 11 feet with the MidGate down and the MultiPro Tailgate loading dock open.

Deliveries of the 2024 Sierra EV Denali 1st Edition are expected to begin this summer at a final MSRP of $99,495.6 (plus $1,995 DFC).
