Electric cars generally use more than the manufacturers say. The result is a slightly better range than you might expect. This time we are testing the Jeep Avenger’s driving range.
The difference in the specified WLTP range and the actual range is large for some vehicles. For this reason, Autovisie tests the actual average driving level in practice with the air conditioning and radio on. This way you know better how far you can go with an EV. What? And Jeep Avenger
Autovisie drives the Jeep Revenge in the Summit edition. The car has a battery pack with a net capacity of 51 kWh. The total capacity is 54 kWh. The battery pack is connected to an electric motor that produces 156 hp and 260 Nm of torque.
According to the WLTP measurement method, the consumption is 15.6 kWh per 100 km. However, the measured consumption is very low. During a 100 km usage cycle, the Jeep Avenger’s on-board computer read 14.9 kWh per 100 km. Please note that actual consumption including charging losses may be more than 10 percent higher than what is shown on the on-board computer. The total amount of electricity produced that is required to reach the WLTP range is therefore greater than what can fit in the battery.
Actual frequency
We see this more often with electric vehicles and so it is also the case with the Jeep Avenger. Despite the low consumption, the WLTP range of 395 km is not reached. With a full battery you can travel 342 km.
The battery pack can be charged on a fast charger. At 11 percent he won 103 kW, reduced by 20 percent to 95 kW and then increased to 50 percent and about 87 kW. Then he returned to 60 kW to 70 percent and reached the finish line of 80 percent and 55 kW.
paymentRAM TRX will be sent to hell soon
The Jeep Avenger does better with fast charging than the first generation models on this Stellantis platform. However, it requires 30 minutes on the fast charger to charge from 10 to 80 percent, four minutes more than the factory specified.
