1. New hybrid power

Previously, Toyota Yaris Cross was available in two flavors: petrol or hybrid. But from now on, the Yaris Cross can only be ordered as a hybrid. The 116 hp hybrid powertrain remains, but it is joined by a new 130 hp hybrid powertrain. This version also produces more torque (185 instead of 141 Nm). In addition, you are half a second faster from 0 to 100 km / h (10.7 instead of 11.2 seconds).

2. Quieter than before

Toyota says it has made the Yaris Cross quieter. Engine noise has been addressed, including additional sound insulation inside the dashboard and hood. Additionally, thick glass was chosen to reduce wind noise and driving noise.

3. More digital

The Toyota Yaris Cross keeps up with the times, as can be seen from the new digital instruments that are standard, regardless of version. The Executive and First Editions get a 7-inch instrument cluster. For the Executive, GR Sport and Launch Edition it’s 12.3 inches. The diameter of the multimedia touch screen is 9 or 10.5 inches, depending on the version.

4. Full software integration

With the MyToyota app you can control more and more of the car’s functions. From now on, up to 5 users can use their smartphone as a digital car key. You can also remotely activate the climate control and turn on the hazard lights. This way you can easily find your car again if you forget where you parked it.

5. Even safe as a standard

The safety package called Toyota T-Mate has been further extended. This now includes systems such as Pre-Collision System, Active Driving Assist, Emergency Stop System, Safety Exit Assist, Rear Seat Reminder System, Adaptive Cruise Control and Lane Departure Assist .

6. Updates are now available for OTA download

Software updates can now be done over the air (OTA) in the updated Toyota Yaris Cross. This saves a trip to the seller.

7. New colors

‘Urban Khaki’ is a new exterior color available for the Launch edition. This includes a different color for the roof and 18-inch five-inch alloy wheels. The beautiful ‘Juniper Blue’ is now available on all versions.

8. Toyota Yaris Cross delivery time and price

The first copies of the new Toyota Yaris Cross will be delivered in May. You can get from 33,195 euros. That was 28,895 euros, but you got the 1.5 petrol, not the hybrid. Previously it cost at least 32,795, so 400 euros less.

If you want the additional hybrid version with 130 hp, you have to pay 39,295 euros. Then you get the full range of Executive equipment instead of the basic equipment used. The equipment includes 18-inch alloy wheels, heated sports seats, a different grille and a large 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster.

For the GR Sport with 130 hp, the Toyota dealer is asking 41,495 euros, a large amount for an SUV in segment B. But be aware that you will get a sports suspension as well as a special GR Sport rear bumper and aluminum pedals. But it can be more expensive: the Launch Edition takes 42,395 euros from your savings account. Then you have high volume from JBL, synthetic leather and a head-up display.
