In March, Volvo Cars set an all-time record for global sales in one month. EX30 little electric brings good luck.
Volvo sold 78,970 cars worldwide in March, an increase of 25% compared to the same month last year. The brand’s new 100% electric model, the Volvo EX30, contributed to this impressive performance.
When the Sino-Swedish manufacturer produced the last Diesel car in its history, Volvo’s electric range, 100% electric or plug-in hybrid, grew by 24% compared to the same period last year, with 33,558 cars sold, or 42% of all cars sold worldwide. 100% electric cars alone represent 23% of sales.

Total sales for the first quarter of 2024 were 182,687 vehicles worldwide, an increase of 12% compared to the same period last year.
In France, Volvo more than doubled its registrations in March compared to the same month last year, collecting 2,975 registrations, including 1,844 100% electric vehicles. The brand also recorded a record first quarter in France with 5,948 registrations made between January and March 2024 and a market share of 1.34%. This phase of growth is due to the launch of the Volvo EX30, which represents 2,472 registrations since the start of the year including 1,395 registrations in March alone.
