The Electric Maserati GranTurismo doesn’t even give you a charging cable

There’s a new Maserati GranTurismo, did you know that? It looks like its predecessor and Maserati has given very little publicity to it.

Maserati is undergoing a much needed renaissance under the wings of Stellantis. Because with two very old models like Quattroporte and Ghibli it will never work.

Maserati GranTurismo Folgore

A breath of fresh air blowing through the Italian luxury brand can be heard in the MC20 and GranTurismo Folgore, two fully electric sports cars. We haven’t seen the first example yet, but we have seen the second example.

Dutch starting price

In fact, the Dutch award has already been announced. In the ‘land of a thousand views’, the GranTurimo Folgore costs 198,350 euros. That’s a lot of money, but it’s a lot less than what’s being asked for other versions of the GranTurismo.

In comparison: Maserati GranTurismo Modena and Trofeo are sold for 226,911 and 271,576 euros in the online configurator. Both have twin-turbo V6s, with 490 and 550 hp respectively.

Up to 100 km/h in 2.7 seconds

GranTurismo Folgore has 750 hp and runs to 100 km/h in 2.7 seconds (!). The two petrol-engined variants require 3.9 and 3.5 seconds for the same sprint.

About 340 euros for the charging cable

Very special is the fact that Maserati charges 339 euros for the charging cable. It has entered online configurator always checked, as well as the so-called DC booster, which makes 800 Volt charging possible (cost 2420 euros).

Colors available

Another thing to note: black and white are the only two complimentary colors. For matte gray you pay about 4,500 euros, if you want something else, you will spend between 18,150 and 32,670 euros.
