The Missouri Dairy Hall of Honor (MDHOH) has announced its 2022 inductees, recognizing their exceptional contributions to the dairy industry.
The MDHOH was established in 2002 to honor individuals and organizations that have made a significant impact in the dairy industry within the state of Missouri. This year’s inductees have demonstrated a sustained commitment to the advancement of dairy farming through their leadership, hard work and dedication.
“The MDHOH is proud to induct these exemplary individuals and organizations into its hall of fame,” said MDHOH Chairman William F. Jurek. “They have made tremendous strides in dairy production, education and advocacy, and we are honored to recognize them for their work.”
The 2022 MDHOH inductees are:
Dr. Robert W. Bellm, retired professor and Extension dairy specialist at the University of Missouri;
The Missouri Association of Dairy Producers; and
Mr. Kenneth T. Hughes, retired dairy farmer and former president of the Missouri Dairy Herd Improvement Association.
Dr. Bellm is being recognized for his long-term commitment to providing education and dairy research services to Missouri’s dairy producers. He has been a leader in the development of more efficient, profitable and sustainable dairying practices.
The Missouri Association of Dairy Producers is being honored for its tireless advocacy efforts on behalf of the state’s dairy industry. The organization has contributed to the growth of the industry through initiatives such as the Dairy Expansion Loan Program, the Missouri Dairy Research and Promotion Program, and the Missouri Dairy Quality Assurance Program.
Mr. Hughes is being recognized for his dedication to improving the quality of dairy products in the state. He has served as a mentor to many dairy producers and has worked tirelessly to ensure the highest standards of dairy production.
The 2022 MDHOH inductees will be honored at a virtual ceremony on June 24, 2022.
