Nissan Qashqai facelift seen before unveiling (VIDEO)

Every now and then Nissan hits the nail on the head, and that’s what it did with Qashqai. The model jumped on the crossover bandwagon early on when it was introduced in 2007 and the results are obvious: the car was so successful that it was nicknamed the ‘Cash Cow’ for years. Even three generations later, the Qashqai is still the best-selling Nissan in Europe… In fact: why change the winning team?

Again like e-Power

Nissan has shared a short video that shows the facelift of its Qashqai and if we didn’t mention it, you probably already knew about it. Even though the pictures were taken in very dark, the cross is still recognizable, to say the least. We see that the front lighting is clearly updated, with the C-shaped light signature appearing more sharply angled. Nissan isn’t showing any images of the rear yet, but looking at the updated car in the driver’s display, it looks like the taillights are also being beefed up a bit.

On the same screen we see another tip, which is for the drivetrain of the model shown. The lack of a calibration counter is noticeable at first, so the left counter showing the power in percent already suggests that it is a power model. However, we still see the fuel gauge on the bottom right, so maybe we’re looking electric hybrid which was added to the series two years ago. You’ll soon learn if much will change across the range: according to Nissan, the curtain will drop on April 17.
