Peugeot is the most famous French brand in Europe. In 2022, more than five hundred and fifty thousand cars were sold in the European Union. In second place is Renault, with a slightly lower result, 541,000 units. Third place was taken by Dacia, with 440,193 units.
In 2022, the Peugeot and Renault brands achieved similar sales figures in the European Union. The leader in terms of quantity was the Peugeot 208, the car of the year 2022. It was also the most popular car in the European Union. Dacia took third place, with Sandero in the lead. Fiat, Citroën and Opel followed, with sales of over 300,000 units each. About 100,000 units were introduced to the Jeep market.
Very good results were achieved by the first brand DS Automobiles, which sold more than 45,000 cars. Here the leader was DS 7 SUV.
