TEST – Despite its commitments to the environment, the English manufacturer has not given up on performance with its latest SUV.

Not everyone is yet ready to leave their breasts and move to the world of electricity. For this group of enthusiasts, the Land Rover manufacturer has created a new, powerful version of the Range Rover Sport. Pushing the button: the V8 has lost the sounds of the old SVR version. For good reason: Jaguar’s previous supercharged 5.0-liter has given way to the BMW M8 Competition’s 4.4-liter Biturbo V8. Almost back to the basics of Range Rovers, which are already running under the Munich banner, at a time when the BMW group owned the English brand.

With the 48V micro-hybrid, this unit advertises a power output of 635 hp and a torque of 750 Nm (800 in boost mode). This is an increase of 60 horsepower and 50 Nm compared to its predecessor but also 10 horsepower compared to the BMW coupe.
