Looking for points speaks for itself: After the 9th race, World Championship leader Max Verstappen at Red Bull is 49 points ahead of Ferrari’s best driver, Charles Leclerc. “At first you thought Leclerc would fire everyone because Ferrari was so powerful,” SRF expert Marc Surer looks back.
But Verstappen ran well after the first 3 races (1 victory, 2 retirees). He has won 5 of the last 6 races and finished 3rd once. And that, although Ferrari still has the best car, as Surer insists: “Ferrari is good in every track.” For Red Bull, on the other hand, you have to change a lot to be fast.
Mercedes also seems to have stepped forward recently and is getting a good grip on the “kick”. You can find out in the video above if Surer believes that two Brits Lewis Hamilton and George Russell in Mercedes will fight for victory again at home GP in Silverstone and what he expects from Alfa Romeo.
