Rivian Offers XPEL Stealth PPF for R1S, R1T Asset Purchase in April

Through the end of April, Rivian R1T and R1S vehicles ordered from the automaker’s inventory will include $5,000 worth of XPEL Stealth paint protection film (PPF).

“If you need another reason to finally place an order for the all-new Rivian R1, well, we’ve got one: this month only, get the Stealth PPF at no extra charge. Rivian is offering US and Canadian customers the opportunity to purchase the Stealth-protected R1T and R1S at no additional cost,” the company said.

XPEL Stealth is a paint protection film designed to protect vehicle paint from road debris and aggressive substances from insects.

The Rivian factory is currently temporarily closed until the end of April for the implementation of new technologies and production methods aimed at significantly reducing costs.

The company’s most recent update to NHTSA’s VIN database shows the preparations for the introduction of the Tri-Motor variant and a new “Premium” trim level for the 2025 version of its R1S and R1T models. This expansion of options coincides with the upcoming 2025 R1S and R1T later this year.

Last week, the company reported 13,980 vehicles produced in the first quarter of the year of which 13,588 were delivered to its customers. Despite previously guiding for a 10-15% decline in the fourth quarter from the fourth quarter, Rivian is on track and confirmed its 2024 production guidance of 57,000 vehicles.
