The Chevy Express is 25 years old and still selling well. New V8 engine under the hood

This is one of the most interesting – albeit understated – cars from the US. The Chevy Express was launched in the 1995 and has not changed much mechanically since then. In 2003, a facelift was carried out. No significant changes were found.

For the 2021 model year, a new power unit will appear under the hood. Chevrolet ditches the 6-liter V8 and installs a bigger motor in the Express. This was presented during the premiere of the Silverado 2500 HD, it has 6.6 liters of capacity and produces 400 horses. Not bad for a car like this.

The lineup will also include a smaller 4.3-liter V6 engine, as well as a 2.8-liter diesel engine. However, as the producer himself says, 70 percent of customers choose the V8 anyway.

Interestingly, despite its age (after all, 25 years in the automotive industry is almost an era), interest in the Express model is growing. In 2019, up to 19 percent. All due to the fact that companies like Amazon require a certified delivery vehiclewhich couriers can use to ship packages.
