The Citroën ë-C3, an affordable electric car from Stellantis, will be launched in the summer and we already reported in February that orders were going in.
Prices start at 23,300 euros, before a version under 20,000 euros follows in 2025. The range was previously said to be around 300 km, but now there are WLTP measurements: 326 km or 321 km can be covered by the Citroën ë-C3.
There are two versions, hence two statements, but you can safely ignore the difference here. And yes, the WLTP tests are not a good value for everyday use in any car, even an electric car. But this is not a car for the highway and in good weather it should be easy to drive more than 250 km in everyday life.
That’s about half the size of a combustion engine, so it’s a huge challenge, especially in the compact and low-cost category, because you can’t just fit bigger and bigger batteries into cars. But that’s a topic for the future, now it’s about these cars coming.
