Why you can’t ignore the updated Nissan Juke (2024).

The Nissan Juke has only one real competitor: the Toyota C-HR. This is currently attracting a lot of attention, but Nissan is now attacking.

With more than 1600 units, the Nissan Juke sold very well in the Netherlands last year. But Toyota C-HR, that other small SUV coupe from Japan, fared better with over 1,800 units sold. However, Toyota has updated the car in detail, so Nissan must also put the Juke in the spotlight.

A large yellow pot

That’s why the Nissan Juke is getting a big makeover. You don’t see much from outside. That’s why Nissan uses a cheap trick that allows the Juke to appeal to itself. No big price cuts and no spoilers or big stickers like Mercedes recently did for the A class (see message below). No, thanks to a simple pot of yellow paint you can now make a Juke look happier than a summer sunflower field in the middle of France.

Juke N-Sport

And then there’s the N-Sport version, which can’t be amazing enough. With a black roof, matching mirrors, wheels, and custom grille, the Juke gets a more premium look to me.

New interior of Nissan Juke

Nissan’s interior designers have not been idle either. They have completely revised the cabin, making it more beautiful and practical. With a newly designed center console, revised instrument panel and better materials. You can customize the digital dashboard to your own taste. Whether you’re nerdy and long for analog watches or want a touch of the future.

The 12.3-inch infotainment screen (from Visia) is also new and is slightly angled towards the driver for a better feel in the cockpit. It all looks slim, but also a little less playful due to the disappearance of the round ventilation grilles in the middle.

Then, according to Nissan, the infotainment system is now so good that it understands your grumbles and doesn’t punish you for a hesitation here or there. We give extra points for adding wireless Android Auto, as well as Apple CarPlay, and video playback capabilities.

An angry child

The N-Sport version makes it look like an angry baby with a yellow highlight gone wrong, but a baby with a steady hand and a sense of symmetry. The yellow frame on the dashboard is the most striking, but to tie it all together and insert the Alcantara in the sports seats is also yellow.

In terms of safety, every Juke now warns you as standard if you’re in danger of unintentionally leaving the lane. From the Tekna version, the system also carries operational intervention. The reversing camera has been given a higher resolution, so you can now get a razor-sharp view of even the narrowest pillars.

The Nissan Juke engine has been redesigned

For the car, you can still choose from the familiar hybrid powertrain with 143 hp, or the 117 hp 1.0-liter three-cylinder with turbo. Unlike the Toyota C-HR, the Nissan Juke does not have a plug-in hybrid version. We would like to let you know the prices of the updated Nissan Juke, but Nissan has not announced them yet.
