Vietnam’s VinFast cooperates with five merchants in Indonesia


a Vietnamese car manufacturer VinFast Auto has officially signed a letter of intent with five businessmen in Indonesia.

The signing marks an important step in expanding VinFast’s distribution network in the Indonesian market and strengthening its brand recognition and competitiveness worldwide, VinFast said in a statement on Friday.

According to the statement, VinFast’s first dealers in Indonesia include GSU, BAM, and GNA, headquartered in Jakarta; MCA, located in Medan; and Ukuu, headquartered in Batam.

This agreement will help VinFast quickly establish its brand presence and connect with local customers.

Indonesian dealers are expected to start selling the VF 5, VF e34, VF 6, and VF 7 models later this year following their official market launch.

Pricing and sales details, including ordering times and after-sales policies, will be officially announced in the first half of 2024.

Hartono Kurniawan, Director of BAM said they are happy to partner with VinFast, a brand known for its green vision and solid foundation in the electric vehicle industry.

“This strategic partnership will bring high-quality, competitively priced vehicles with youthful design and excellent after-sales support to the Indonesian market, promoting the development of the domestic electric vehicle industry,” he added.

According to the statement, VinFast aims to expand its electric vehicle distribution network this year to reach all major cities in Indonesia.

This move reflects its ambition to quickly become the preferred electric vehicle brand for Indonesian consumers, as well as reflects its global vision, including the goal of promoting a revolution in zero-emission transportation for a greener future for everyone.

VinFast – a member of Vingroup – is looking to drive the development of the global revolution in smart electric vehicles.

Founded in 2017, VinFast owns a state-of-the-art automotive manufacturing facility with the largest global capacity that boasts up to 90 percent automation in Hai Phong, Vietnam.
