The current situation of electric vehicles is difficult. After the unexpected cancellation of the environmental bonus in December, sales of electric vehicles recorded a sharp decline in January and February. Things picked up at least a little in March. Car dealers are still pessimistic about the future for the remainder of 2024. Consumers deciding on an electric car are faced with the question: Which model gives me the most bang for my buck?

The answer to this question is given by ADAC. The car club regularly puts the newest electric cars through their paces. Quality and cost are evaluated. Purchases, maintenance and loss of value, among other things, play a role here. In the end, both factors lead to a price-performance ratio grade.

The Fiat 500 reigns supreme among small cars

When it comes to small cars, the picture is very clear. Only one model made it to the podium in this category: the Fiat 500e. According to him, it is the best cut ADAC convertible in Iconic configuration with a 42 kWh battery. The car club offers a 2.1 electric car.

However, the gap between their followers is small. With the 2.2 class, the Fiat 500e with a 23.8 kWh battery and RED equipment is close on the heels of the conversion. La Prima with a bigger battery gets it ADAC grade 2.3.

The Stellantis trio is ahead when it comes to small cars

Stellantis Group products are also well represented in small cars. Opel Corsa-e and Peugeot e-208 GT share a place in the sun. Both models received a grade of 2.0. This is followed by the electric SUV Peugeot e-2008 GT (2.1).
