It’s not just the land boats that have lost the crossover trend and SUV buzz a few years ago, but traditional sedans, too, along with other body styles that don’t have many inches between the guts and the road.

Fortunately, many companies remain committed to low-end models, including several in the United States. Cadillac’s name is on the list, and the GM-owned supercar brand has the CT4 and CT5 on its portfolio, along with V and Blackwing versions.

And in case you forgot, Celestiq, a real luxury land yacht with electric power, is joining them. With a starting price of around $340,000, it’s targeting the one percent, and let’s not forget one Neiman Marcus copy listed for around $1 million.

Many American car enthusiasts would tell you that they miss a certain vintage Cadillac, and in some cases, it’s none other than the Eldorado. The car, which does not need a transmission, dates back to the early 50s, when the first generation came out. Until 1960, the car manufacturer made no less than four generations. The ninth generation came out in the 70s, and in the early 2000s, Cadillac pulled the plug on this model altogether.

Its successor was the CTS, a flagship model that lived for three generations between 2002 and 2019, and when the automaker discontinued this one, too, some believed it was time for Cadillac to dust off the Eldorado name and bring it back from the dead. . The modern Eldorado will have new design, construction, powertrain, technology and safety features and will likely be a battery-powered car.

Well, at least in theory, because in practice, it is clear now that Caddy has no intention of reviving. Still, however, and that’s despite the constant rumors talking about it. And it was such speculation that spawned several unofficial digital renders over the past few years, which makes me wonder what the all-new Cadillac Eldorado might look like. The latest we found was signed by vrburlapp and shared on social media, and it’s a bold project.

Certain lines and that big OEM logo adorning the trunk lid make it instantly recognizable as a Cadillac. This CGI model looks like a modern Art Deco car. It has generous proportions, a roomy and spacious cockpit (for open top travel), a folding roof that is stored behind the seats in a special compartment, black finish, several chrome touches, and large chrome-look alloys, and concave profile, among others.

We’d certainly support such a machine, especially since it would be a breath of fresh air in the modern automotive world, regardless of whether it stays true to the V8 or is launched with electro-sucking power. But can you buy it through a cross of the same size?
