Now, it seems that the Korean brand wants to make history on the competition Pikes Peak International Hill Climb of June with IONIQ 5 N as the protagonist.

For those who don’t know, Pikes Peak International Hill Climb is a car and motorcycle competition that takes place every year on the slopes of Pikes Peak, a 4301 meter high mountain located in the State of Colorado, in the United States. This mountain range is located about 10 miles west of Colorado Springs, and the scene is very popular among Americans.

The impressive power of the IONIQ 5 N comes from an 84 kWh battery pack that powers a 223 hp engine on the front axle and a 378 hp engine on the rear axle. With a total power of 601 HPwhich can be increased to 641 hp if the N Grin Boost feature is activated.

Based on the above-mentioned basics about the powertrain of the IONIQ 5 N, we dare not imagine how powerful its big sister can be. Hyundai IONIQ 6 N will be presented this year with a date yet to be determined.
