A Hyundai overturns on a country road

Grimma. The driver of the Hyundai was traveling from Beiersdorf towards Grimma on Sunday at around 11 am when he left the road for unknown reasons, rolled over and came to rest on the side of a rape field.

First responders tended to the person in the wrecked vehicle until emergency services, police and volunteer fire departments from Hohnstädt and Grimma arrived on site. A paramedic was flown to the scene with the Christoph 61 rescue helicopter.

As the fire department announced on the website, the man was responsive and had already been released from the vehicle when emergency services arrived. He was treated by emergency services and taken to hospital.

Fire brigade personnel secured the scene of the accident and the vehicle and ensured fire protection. The police are now investigating the exact cause of the accident. The car had to be towed. The road was completely closed during the operation.
