A photo of the 2024 Toyota Tacoma TRD Pro has reportedly surfaced

Toyota recently created a lot of buzz with secret photos that revealed several parts of 2024 Tacoma, three manual gearbox pedals and an optical unit, in particular. The manufacturer even revealed the full silhouette of its popular pickup truck. Now, an image of the model in question has surfaced on the social networking site Reddit. Is this really the next Tacoma?

Toyota prefers not to comment on this secret photo which, according to Reddit users, was quickly published on the website of the American manufacturer and then removed a few minutes later.

Actually, 4^e the generation of the best-selling medium image in North America will not be launched until May 19. However, if we rely on the indications that the manufacturer has already given us, everything leads us to believe that this is indeed the next Tacoma. In this picture, it will be a version TRD-Pro which is one of the many variations offered.

Speaking of differences, the new version, Trailhunter, which aims to put more emphasis on the remote road, but with a touch.on the ground, will also be in the plans. We know from a trusted source that this new Tacoma will be based on the manufacturer’s classic TNGA architecture, like the Tundra, and that a hybrid version will be part of the range.

Toyota has also confirmed that this hybrid version will be powered by the manufacturer’s “I-FORCE MAX” engine. So we can expect the same motorization found in the Tundra, a V6 combined with an electric motor, but with lower power and torque.

As standard, the Tacoma can be equipped with a 2.4-liter turbocharged 4-cylinder engine that develops 265 horsepower and 310 torque under the Highlander’s hood. Such technical data would allow the Tacoma to compete with its new competitors, the Chevrolet Colorado twins and the GMC Canyon, the Nissan Frontier and the next Ford Ranger, in particular. However, Toyota may be the first manufacturer to offer a hybrid in this category.
