Thanks to the first official teaser published by the Japanese manufacturer, we can already take a quick look Variant XV throw, which will be presented on September 15 in the Land of the Rising Sun.

Of course, in the 15-second video, the shape of the car is not clearly visible, but in some sections you can see the design of the headlights and part of the bumpers. In terms of styling, one gets the impression that the XV date The new WRX will be inspired, recently launched in North America and Japan.

The crossover comes with the EyeSight Driver Assist package

From the more powerful variant, the XV may inherit more fender flares and headlights, while the dimensions should not differ from those of the current generation XV (449 cm long, 180 cm wide and 160 cm tall).

The same infotainment system as the WRX is rumored to be inside, with an 11.6-inch vertical display and access to Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, climate control and navigation.

The safety features of the new Subaru XV have also been revised. The crossover will receive the EyeSight Driver Assist package with driver attention monitoring, blind spot warning, emergency braking and cruise control. And from Japan, there are voices that could imagine a Level 3 autonomous driving system, although there is no official confirmation from Subaru yet.

As for the engine, it is likely that the current 2.0 expected will be replaced by a new turbo-charged 1.5-liter cylinder, which may be electrified in a milder form.

As mentioned, the XV will be revealed on September 15, but we’ll have to wait a few more months for it to appear in Europe. The same applies to the scaleparty, which could launch in November in Japan, Australia and (possibly) the United States. Again, a European version would be expected in 2023.
