All-New Acura ADX SUV Arriving in 2025

Acura will finally fill the subcompact-SUV-sized hole it has long had in its lineup with a new model called the ADX.

The Acura ADX will serve as the brand’s entry-level SUV, slotting in below the RDX, Acura announced today. Acura says a new modern luxury SUV will arrive in early 2025, aimed at attracting younger paying buyers.

As the Integra is Acura’s gateway to its sedan lineup, the RDX will do the same for its SUV lineup, according to Acura, Honda’s luxury division. Beyond revealing that the new SUV will be turbocharged — possibly using the 200-horsepower 1.5-liter turbocharged 4-cylinder engine found in the Integra — Acura is keeping more details about the ADX close to its vest.

“The 2025 Acura ADX will add a fourth SUV to our lineup and a new entry-level model ready to build on the incredible success of the Integra, helping make Acura the ultimate brand for a new generation of buyers,” said Emile Korkor, assistant vice president, Acura National Dealership. “With the first-ever ADX and all-electric ZDX, Acura’s lineup will have SUVs covered from A to Z.”

We will say it is the right time. Although the RDX is the best all-around luxury SUV that competes with the BMW X3, Audi Q5, Mercedes-Benz GLC, and several others, Acura has never made an example in the small segment. With the ADX, Acura will now have a rival to the BMW X1, Audi Q3, Mercedes-Benz GLA, and, yes, several others in the small luxury SUV space.

We’ll be curious to see if the ADX shares the kind of specs and respectable design of the compact SUV that Honda has in its stable – the HR-V – or if it’s something different. Since Acura linked the ADX to the Integra in its press release, we’re expecting something sporty — and we’re already dreaming about the Acura ADX Type S.
