Audi Q2 update: digital convenience – Autonieuws

  • From mid-2024 with a virtual cockpit and large touchscreen as standard
  • Also volume control for infotainment; The MMI rotary/push button has been omitted
  • Standard equipment was further expanded, additional safety features were included

The Audi Q2 is updated with a focus on additional ease of operation and use. Every Audi Q2 is equipped as standard with an Audi cockpit with an 8.8-inch touchscreen for operating the MMI infotainment system. In addition, the Q2 will have new safety systems.

Soon, every new Audi Q2 will be fitted as standard with the Audi cockpit, a large digital instrument panel (12.3/31 inches) with sharp graphics. You can choose two display options through a special button on the multifunctional steering wheel. There is a standard ‘clock display’ for the speedometer and tachometer. With another option, speed and rpm are fully visible, but the focus is on the navigation map display. Audi’s virtual cockpit with additional themes is available as an option.

New central touchscreen

Every updated Audi Q2 gets a new central MMI screen (8.8 inches/22 cm). This screen also stands out because of its brightness. In addition, it responds quickly to each touch. Voice control through natural speech is also possible. These operating options eliminate the need for the MMI rotary/push button on the center console. In its place is a storage space with decorative moldings in high-gloss black.

More advanced level equipment

The updated Audi Q2 is also characterized by good connectivity. For example, MMI Radio with DAB reception is standard. There are two USB-C connections on the center console which are convenient for data transfer. In addition to the Emergency Call, various Audi connectivity services are also included. The vehicle status can be checked via the myAudi app and various functions can be controlled remotely.

Digital next steps

Standard MMI navigation setup includes Audi’s smartphone interface (including Apple CarPlay and Android Auto). This also makes Audi assembly services standard. MMI navigation plus (standard from the Advanced version), which uses e-SIM, is the most comprehensive information package. Included are Audi connectivity services, navigation with advanced satellite maps and online functions such as traffic information, route display, parking information and online radio. Other interesting options are the Audi phone box for smartphone integration and the Sonos premium sound system with 13 speakers and a subwoofer.

The updated Audi Q2 also has additional safety features. Lane departure warning and traffic sign recognition are now standard on all models.

Updated models of the Audi Q2 are expected in the Netherlands in mid-April. More information, specifications and prices of the updated Audi Q2 will be announced in preparation for the market introduction.
