Audi has declared the end of the TT’s reign in the United Kingdom, with the carmaker unveiling the “Final Edition” of their iconic two-seater sports car.
The TT, which debuted in 1998, has become a ubiquitous sight on the roads of the UK and has enjoyed a long and successful tenure. Audi has now declared that the venerated vehicle will be discontinued, and has revealed the prices of the “Final Edition” in order to commemorate the model’s departure.
The aptly-named “Final Edition” marks the swan song of the TT in the UK, with the model featuring a range of unique features and design elements that distinguish it from the standard TT. The exterior of the car boasts an exclusive set of 19-inch alloy wheels and a range of distinctive exterior finishes, while the interior features a bespoke Nappa leather and Alcantara sports seat with contrast stitching.
The “Final Edition” also features a host of other innovative technologies, such as a 12.3-inch virtual cockpit, a mobile phone interface and an advanced infotainment system. The car is equipped with a powerful 2.0-liter turbocharged engine, producing up to 227 horsepower, which is enough to propel the car from 0-62 mph in just 6.2 seconds.
The “Final Edition” of the TT is available to order now, with prices starting from £35,000 (including VAT). The car will be available in both coupe and roadster body styles, and Audi is offering a range of finance options for customers who wish to purchase the vehicle.
Audi’s announcement of the “Final Edition” of the TT marks the end of an era for the UK’s roads. The model has now become a classic, and it is likely to be fondly remembered long after it fades into obscurity.
