Bugatti: The Grand Tour to discover Europe

The practice of organizing group ‘road trips’, gatherings of supercars and supercars in beautiful locations like the cars in question, is gaining momentum among wealthy manufacturers. The Lamborghini Experience are famous, like those of Porsche or Eagle, without forgetting Bugatti. The Molsheim company has created a tour of the Basque Country, moving not five or six cars, but 28 of them. Veyron e Chiron! The Basque region – in the north of Spain – is known for its ancient landscape in contrast to modern architecture and art, not to mention its culinary richness. After all, we are talking about owners of cars worth millions of euros … they certainly do not receive a two-star pension from McDonalds.

BEACHES AND ART. The first day of “Bugatti Grand Tour Europe” it started at the Hotel du Palais in Biarritz, a former royal residence overlooking the sea, just to make the participants understand that they would not be treated badly. On the contrary. After an evening with President Bugatti, the convoy left early in the morning for the Chillida Leku museum, passing by bays and beaches, so peaceful that 30,000 horses of the group remained undisturbed. In the evening we returned to the modest Hotel du Palais, ready to recharge for the next morning, towards the Pyrenees and the Roncevaux Pass.

LARGE RANGE OF HPERCAR. Although the Tour took place a few weeks ago the weather was perfect, it was not expected due to the mild climate of the region. Roncevaux Pass is not very high, but the owners were still able to stretch the hundreds and hundreds of horse power produced by their W16s, in different variations: there were Veyrons, Chiron Supersports, Chirons ‘normal’ and even Chiron ProfilĂ©e and Divo. Fighting with such power makes you hungry, and after a sumptuous lunch the group headed to the Hotel Marques de Riscal, a unique (and also slightly strange) hotel in Elciego.

LET THE HORSE GO. The wine region in question satisfied the owners of 28 Bugatti, who will be less focused due to the next step: the round of Navarra. 4 kilometers of curves where you can push your supercars to the limit, it’s fine, but always very fast. After spending the night again at the Hotel Marques de Riscal, the caravan prepared for the final day, which included a visit to the Balenciaga museum, the beautiful Bay of Biscay, the impressive Guggenheim museum and of course Bilbao. There are those who see these hyper-travel as a means of instilling the ego of certain elites, and those who see them as an opportunity to develop passion for the brand, we are only happy that these hypercars are used and driven as more owners should do. Congratulations Bugatti.
