Maserati launches a luxury electric boat!

On the occasion of the presentation of the new electronic Grancabrio, Maserati takes action the launch of Tridente, an electric boat that is as elegant as it is powerful. Designed in collaboration with marine technology company Vita, this 34-foot yacht embodies the essence of the trident brand with an environmentally responsible touch.

Tridente, a true technological work, is with two electric motors the ability to produce a combined power of 600 horsepower. This marine racing car can reach a top speed of 40 knots and travel at a cruising speed of 25 knots for a distance of approximately 70 kilometers before needing to recharge. Maserati ensures that the 252 kWh battery can be recharged in less than an hour using the DC connection, a remarkable development for electric marine independence.

The Tridente design is true to Maserati’s DNA with clean lines and a lightweight carbon fiber shell, finished in pure rose gold. A trident logo proudly adorns the bow of the boat, confirming its membership in the prestigious Maserati family. Construction is entrusted to the experienced craftsmen of Hodgdon Yachts in Maine (USA), which benefits from over two centuries of expertise in boat and tender manufacturing.

On board, the cream colored cockpit can accommodate up to eight passengers. It has two captain’s chairs and a U-shaped lounge, flanked aft by a large sundeck and swimming area with a staircase leading out to sea. Up front, the modern cockpit has a large touch screen. The boat also has a solar lamp to provide shade when anchored. Below deck, the living quarters include a cabin with an en-suite bathroom.

Tridente is part of a trend where several luxury car manufacturers, such as Porsche, BMW and Polestar, are exploring the fully electric sports boat sector. However, and a starting price around $2.6 million, The Tridente is positioned as the most expensive jewel in the Maserati lineup.

The new model is already available to order, with deliveries expected in approximately 10 months. Combined with the new Maserati GranCabrio Folgore EV, the Tridente offers zero-emissions use whether on land or at sea.
