Car recalls 2024: See the complete list of 612K Hyundai, Kia, Mercedes-Benz and Chrysler recalled vehicles

National Highway Traffic Safety Administration issued several vehicle recalls in the past few weeks, including multiple recalls for Chrysler and Hyundai vehicles in one week.

Those recalled include about 612,000 vehicles from Chrysler, Hyundai, Kia and Mercedes-Benz.

Chrysler recalls

Chrysler recalls several models due to multiple errors. The following 38,164 vehicles recalled for faulty airbags:

  • 2023 Chrysler Voyager
  • 2023-2024 Chrysler Pacifica
  • 2023 Jeep Gladiator
  • 2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee
  • 2023-2024 Jeep Grand Wagoneer
  • 2023-2024 Jeep Wagoneer
  • 2023-2024 Jeep Wrangler
  • 2023-2024 RAM 1500
  • 2023-2024 RAM 2500
  • 2023-2024 RAM 3500
  • 2023-2024 RAM 4500
  • 2023-2024 RAM 5500

Chrysler too recalled 10,098 additional vehicles due to malfunction and parts of the operating range. The following vehicles fall under this recall:

  • 2017-2024 Jeep
  • 2017-2024 Chrysler
  • 2017-2024 Ram

Chrysler dealers will replace steering column parts free of charge, if necessary. Reminder notices will be issued on May 3.

Chrysler too recalling 284,982 Dodge Charger and Chrysler 300 vehicles because the side curtain airbag may rupture.

The following examples come to mind:

  • 2018-2021 Chrysler 300
  • 2018-2021 Dodge Charger

If you have one of these models, you can bring your vehicle to your nearest Chrysler dealer, where you can have your side curtain airbags replaced at no charge. The automaker will notify owners of the recall on May 3.

Hyundai and Kia are recalling

Hyundai and Come on it is recalling 147,110 of its vehicles due to problems with its charging unit. The following Hyundai and Kia models are being recalled for this issue:

  • 2022-2024 Hyundai Ioniq 5
  • 2022-2024 Be EV6
  • 2023-2024 Genesis GV60
  • 2023-2024 Genesis GV70 EV
  • 2023-2024 Genesis GV80 EV
  • 2023-2024 Hyundai Ioniq 6

Hyundai and Kia recommend that owners of these affected vehicles take them to their local dealers, where mechanics will repair the Integrated Charging Control Unit (ICCU) at no additional cost.

Kia owners should expect to see a recall notice in the mail by April 29, while Hyundai customers should see a recall notice by May 14.

Hyundai is also recalling 15,645 of its 2024 Genesis GV70 vehicles due to the issue of infection. According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, water could leak into the transmission, causing a short circuit that would push the park-set transmission into neutral. If this happens, the car may move.

Owners of affected vehicles are urged to turn off the ignition and use the emergency brake when parking. To correct the issue, owners are encouraged to bring the affected models to their local dealer, where they will inspect and repair the transmission and wiring at no charge.

Hyundai will notify owners by mail of the recall no later than May 14.


it’s a Mercedes-Benz recalling 116,020 of its vehicles due to a weak volt connection.

According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administrationthe voltage connection under the passenger seat may not be properly secured and may overheat, causing a fire hazard.

The following vehicle types may be recalled:

  • 2020-2023 GLE580
  • 2020-2023 GLS580
  • 2020-2024 GLE450
  • 2021-2023 AMG GLS63
  • 2021-2023 MAYBACH GLS600
  • 2021-2024 AMG GLE53
  • 2021-2024 AMG GLE63 S
  • 2023-2024 GLE350

Owners who have one of these recalled vehicles can bring them to their dealer to have the volt harness inspected and repaired at no charge.

Mercedes-Benz will notify owners of the recall by email on May 14.
