Car test: Maserati Grancabrio, a shock of beauty and power

But be careful: the Maserati convertible is a real racing car, originally released in the Trofeo version equipped with a 550 horsepower Nettuno twin-turbo V6 engine, inspired by F1 and offers four driving modes: Comfort, GT, Sport and Corsa. The car is equipped with all-wheel drive through an eight-speed automatic gearbox. The engine is runninge two-chamber pre-ignition system expensive for Maserati. It is enough to drive the machine up to 316 km / h and go from 0 to 100 km / h in 3.6 s, and 12.2 s to reach 200 km.

A little extra : a small rotary selector on the steering wheel giving access to four driving modes and a digital clock integrated into the dashboard.

To get these performances, engineers preferred light material : about 65% of the GrandCabrio it is made of aluminum… The machine is powerful, stylish, but also comfortable and well-equipped. The new convertible takes the complete equipment of the Granturismo and advanced equipment it is dominated by a 12.2-inch digital dashboard and a 12.3-inch central touchscreen for the multimedia system. Maserati even added another 8.8-inch touchscreen it is set in less than a second to automatically control comfort equipment, such as air conditioning.

Finally, the brand has ideas for a cold day and heated seats (including neck warmer) adjustable to three levels. Also remember effort in the back seats : convertible boasts two seats, described as “two real and comfortable spaces”. Work completed at the cost of the trunk, the amount of which falls to 131 l. In the end, only a privileged few will be able to afford this model for which the trunk size will not be a problem. Grandcabrio will be especially good Italy for romantic trips.
