Cato Nickel (Husqvarna): MXGP Matches Scheduled / MXGP Motocross World Championship

Cato Nickel moves from WZ Racing KTM to the Cat Moto Bauerschmidt Husqvarna team and will compete in the 450cc class in the future. In addition to the ADAC MX Masters race, the World Championship is also planned.

At the end of February, Cato Nickel left the German WZ racing team and then drove as a privateer. “I had a good feeling about Cat Moto Husqvarna. Everything met my expectations and that’s how I communicated with the team,” explained Nickel.

“Because of my size and weight, switching to the 450 class was easy for me. It was not difficult for me to switch from KTM to Husqvarna, as the two motorcycles are very similar.”

Cato Nickel is scheduled to compete in the ADAC MX Masters. Participation in selected World Cup races is also planned. “I have no expectations for the ADAC Masters and my first MXGP World Championship appearance,” explained Nickel. “I’ll do my best and see where I stand. But I’m proud to be able to compete in my first GP race soon,” added Nickel.

“I’m very happy and grateful that everything was done quickly and easily with my new team. Now it’s time to spend a few hours on my new bike to fully prepare for the first race.” His first outing on a 450cc Husqvarna is expected to be at the ADAC MX Masters season opener on April 20-21 at Fürstlich Drehna.
