Nissan is showing four concept cars in Beijing

Nissan has unveiled four concept cars at Auto China 2024, two electric models and two plug-ins, developed in collaboration with local partner Dongfeng. They are intended for the Chinese market only. “According to the concepts presented, we will start development and then build a balanced product portfolio with new, different and competitive models,” says Nissan CEO Makoto Uchida.

In addition to the necessary SUVs, there are also two sedans among the subjects. The Epoch Concept, for example, is an “electric sedan for urban and suburban dwellers” that features an AI-powered Internet of Things (IoT). For communication with the car, there is a common assistant who has to recognize the feelings and interpret them.

The Nissan Epic concept, on the other hand, is an electric SUV in the X-Trail format that is intended to drive freely in the city and on the highway. It can also be used as a mobile power source, for example providing electricity when camping or at outdoor parties.

The second SUV in the group is the hybrid SUV Era Concept, which is intended for young businessmen who see their car as a second home. This of course includes an online entertainment system, but zero-gravity seats and a combination of the e-4ORCE all-wheel drive system and active air suspension are also on board.

The Evo Concept, also equipped with a plug-in hybrid drive, is finally suitable for weekend trips with the whole family. In addition to modern operational support and safety functions, the AI-powered virtual avatar also serves as a human-machine interface.

In addition to the four new concept cars, another electric model was also announced. This means that five new cars will be introduced to the Chinese market by 2026. (or)
