Chevrolet released the first photo of the Silverado HD ZR2 off-road

Chevrolet will soon offer a pair of top-of-the-line off-roaders for anyone ready to discover the Silverado 1500 ZR2 and the first-ever Silverado HD ZR2. Off-road photography has become very popular in recent years. However, Chevrolet has been a player in this field for some time, they introduced their ZR2 package in 1994.

Enough choice

“The all-new Silverado HD ZR2 and HD ZR2 Bison deliver the off-road performance that our customers have come to expect from the ZR2, and the towing and payload capabilities of our HD customers,” said Michael MacPhee, Chevrolet. They’re also expanding the Silverado HD lineup, giving customers more options to find the perfect truck for off-road work and adventures.

In terms of capacity, the Silverado HD ZR2’s maximum payload is 3,397 pounds, while its maximum trailer capacity is an impressive 18,500 pounds. Not only that, it is possible to have the available Duramax Turbo-Diesel equipment. So you don’t have to worry about the owners being left behind when they go out and, for whatever reason, it stops working for a while.

Appearance

The HD ZR2 is instantly recognizable by the ZR2 family front grille, which represents the style that the ZR2 trucks stand for. Integrated fenders, ZR2 branding on the grill bar and a higher stance add to the HD ZR2’s image. It also has 35-inch Goodyear Wrangler Territory MT tires mounted on 18 x 9-inch aluminum wheels.

The HD ZR2 also includes a new off-road mode, which when activated adjusts various vehicle parameters. Such as anti-lock brakes, traction control and stability control to improve their off-road performance.

Bison HD ZR2

The Bison HD ZR2 was developed in partnership with AEV to provide a factory package for off-roaders. It takes the basics of the HD ZR2 and adds a few things to it. Like AEV’s 18-inch black wheels, with a unique high-gloss finish, front and rear bumpers with recovery points, the Buffalo models also get unique exterior badges and other identifying features, such as as well as the AEV logo on the headrests of the front seats.

Coming in Q3 2023

Production of the 2024 Chevrolet Silverado HD ZR2 and ZR2 Bison will begin later this summer at General Motors’ Flint Assembly plant in Michigan10. Pricing will be announced closer to the start of production.
