Next year, the very last Ford Focus will roll off the production line. However, no direct successor is ready. Because Ford will focus on SUVs and hard-working off-roaders, with or without a plug. Since the departure of the Fiesta ST, the Focus ST is the last hatchback you can buy from Ford. The Focus ST version is the flagship version of the… erm… and now it’s all new!

Finally to Belgium!

Although the first Edition of the Focus ST from 2021 passed through Belgium, due to a common problem at the time, we can now taste this more complex ST. In this ST Edition, the Focus (do you have it?) is mainly intended for track use, although according to the Blue Oval you’re also the fastest mum/dad at the school gate. This is not because of your good taste in clothing or the fact that your children finally give you more than 5 hours of sleep per night, so that your bags no longer resemble the waves of the North Sea, but because of the special suspension of KW makes ST 10mm almost and mother earth.

This brings 50% stiffer springs and adjustable dampers. If desired, you can lower the Focus ST by another 10 mm. All in all, you must slow down when driving away from the school gate. New lightweight 19-inch wheels (-10% less weight) feature upgraded Brembo brakes and are shod with Pirelli’s P Zero Corsa.

No extra charge

In addition to the extensive standard equipment, the Focus ST Edition continues to make the cut with the standard ST engine. This is a 2.3-liter four-cylinder with 280 hp and 420 Nm that sends its power to the front wheels through a six-speed gearbox. A seven-speed automatic transmission is also available, though we weren’t thankful for that option. You can identify the Edition by the distinctive Azura Blue body color. Although your local Kenny will undoubtedly be covered in different bright colors in no time.

With a base price of 51,300 euros, the ST Edition costs exactly 6,300 euros more than its regular sibling. Although you can eliminate that extra price in one fell swoop with enhanced basic equipment!
