From July 2024, the GSR2 directive on vehicle equipment will come into force. Is Dacia preparing for this change?

All our models are ready for the upcoming changes. We have just opened orders for the new Duster and will then start accepting orders for the remaining models in the range – Sandero and Jogger – which will meet the requirements of the new GSR2 order. Our last style that goes along with the new standard, which goes on sale this year, will be the new Spring.

Dacia Bigster is a new and big SUV for a small price

Although the Dacia boss is shrouded in secrecy, our findings indicate that the Dacia Bigster will be built on a modified CMF-B platform, so we can expect the same solution as the Duster body.

Dacia Bigsterwith a length of 4.6 m, it will be almost 30 cm longer than the new Duster. Power will be provided by engines with factory LPG installation and hybrid systems (MHEV and HEV). Versions with front-wheel drive or 4×4 are planned.

According to the manufacturer, the Bigster will be perfect for road trips and sandy roads. At the same time, the car will provide everything necessary in an SUV from this segment, without unnecessary gadgets. There is no point in going for luxury items like chrome or aluminum imitations. Instead, the focus was on recycled plastic. The Bigster is also intended to be Dacia’s incentive to offer an affordable versiona C-class car at the price of a lower-class model.

Dacia BigsterIt will go on sale in Poland at the beginning of 2025. The car will be manufactured at the Mioveni plant in Romania and on the same production line as the Duster.
