Young electric car brand, B-ON will accelerate its deployment in Europe thanks to the capital increase of the Chinese manufacturer Chery. The Pelkan van will soon compete with utility vehicles from Renault, Stellantis and Ford.

After several months of research, he confirmed a few days ago that he has finally found his future location: it will be in Spain, to be more precise. in Barcelona at the old Nissan factory that assembled the Navara pick-up until 2021.

Hand in hand with B-ON for electric vehicles

In this regard and in line with its passenger cars, it intends to invest in the market of utility vehicles, especially electric ones. And in this game, it announces today the creation of a joint venture with German manufacturer B-On.
Chery will invest heavily in this small company born in 2020, allowing it to benefit from it knowledge in terms of electrical engineering and product development and internal strike force. The brand will distribute its own the new Pelkan utility vehicle, delivered at the end of 2023.
It is a 1,350kg payload panel, 5.5m long and 2.51m tall. With batteries of 43 and 54 kWh, it will be able to travel between 226 and 279 kilometers per chargeand recharge from 30% to 80% in less than half an hour.
« Cooperation with a major global leader like the Chery group is an important moment for B-ON and its growth », explained Bruno Lambert, boss of B-ON. This brand, registered in Luxembourg, already has subsidiaries in Germany, USA, UK, Japan, China and South America. So he will arrive in France in a few months.

The market for electric utility vehicles is growingand groups like Renault, Stellantis, Volkswagen and Ford are already in a good position. Others, such as Hiperon, Goupil, Farizon and Maxus are also aiming to find a place among the falling manufacturers.
