Saint-Ouen signs an agreement with the manufacturer Tesla to encourage local employment

The French headquarters of the American automaker is located in Saint-Ouen. He is committed to promoting local employment.

The PS mayor of Saint-Ouen (Seine-Saint-Denis) and Tesla managing director Mathieu Lenglin both signed. The city that hosts the national headquarters of the American car manufacturer agreed this Wednesday, April 10, on an agreement to promote local employment for the same skills.

“The signing of this contract demonstrates Tesla’s desire to support, train and hire Audonians to support the growth of its operations,” the document states.

It is structured in five pillars: local employment, professional integration of people with disabilities, the establishment of links with the local economic fabric, promoting the livelihood of workers in the region and strengthening the region.

Annual review to evaluate results

By committing to hire locally, “the company is part of an approach to improving the quality of life at work by reducing travel time and promoting the flexibility of mobility”, notes the Agreement.

Tesla is also committed to “qualifying residents by providing a complete knowledge of the needs of the company’s employees, of all types, professional training, internships, seasonal or long-term jobs”.

For its part, the city must mobilize “its services and all partners in employment, training and corporate fabric to support the company in achieving its goals”.

“We are proud to move forward with Tesla,” rejoiced Karim Bouamrane social network X (formerly Twitter).

To evaluate the implementation of this charter, Tesla and Saint-Ouen will issue a report every year.
