First Acura ADX Confirmed For 2025 Reveal

Important takeaways

  • Acura is adding a new affordable ADX model in 2025 to its lineup alongside the Integra.

  • It is expected to share the underpinnings with the Honda HR-V, but with an upgraded turbocharged engine.

  • The brand aims to attract a new generation of buyers with the ADX, offering SUVs from A to Z, with the ZDX being the flagship of the electric range.

On the same day that Acura unveiled the updated 2025 MDX, the brand first announced the subtle addition of a new model to its lineup: the ADX. The new crossover from Acura, will target the more affordable segment and sit alongside the Integra in the brand’s lineup, making it the most affordable way to wear the Acura badge. Although the automaker has not confirmed many details, an inside source confirmed High Speed that the ADX will be the ‘counterpart’ to the Integra, boasting a 1.5-liter turbo engine producing 200 horsepower and 192 lb-ft of torque. In the Integra, it is connected to a CVT or a manual transmission, but it is doubtful that the latter will find a way to cross.

High Speed also confirmed that it will get unique styling, with an insider claiming that it will be very similar to the ZDX, despite the latter being a larger electric SUV.

Acura’s best-selling three-row SUV gets a quieter cabin, better sound system, more safety technology, and a new Advance Package.

“The 2025 Acura ADX will add a fourth SUV to our lineup and a new entry-level model ready to build on the incredible success of the Integra, helping make Acura the ultimate brand for a new generation of buyers,” said Emile Korkor, assistant vice president, Acura National Dealership.

Acura models often find a basis in existing Honda products, and the same is likely here, as Acura will use the HR-V with unique styling features. The HR-V shares its underpinnings and much of its performance with the 11th-generation Civic, making it an improved sub-segment entrant and an excellent Acura-backed model against the likes of the Lexus UX and Volvo XC40. While the HR-V only has a 2.0-liter engine, the platform may carry the 1.5-liter turbo engine from the Civic Si and Integra.

“With the first-ever ADX and all-electric ZDX, Acura’s lineup will have SUVs covered from A to Z.”

The ADX name will not be unfamiliar to him CarBuzz readers, as we reported on the discovery of a trademark for it since 2021. At that time, we thought it indicated a new EV, but that turned out to be the ZDX. Acura has confirmed that the ADX will debut in early 2025, and between now and then, we’re expecting a bunch more teasers and news from Acura HQ.
