first look for a small SUV

first look for a small SUV

A video trailer published by Nissan allows us to see for the first time the changes made to the facelifted Qashqai of the future, which will be presented in less than a week.

Videos on social networks. The date. Seven o’clock. And this message: “Stay connected”. This is what Nissan has published in recent hours to officially announce the “new feature”, without saying more. But in reality, we already know that it is a facelifted Qashqai. The small Japanese SUV, which is in its third generation, has arrived on our roads in 2021. Therefore, a small mid-career update is about to be done. “A little”? I’m not sure because if you look at the short video where the car is not visible, and it’s clearly in the dark, It seems that evolution is necessary.

And this is the face of the revised Nissan Qashqai, which looks stealthy, but which seems to be further modified. If the grille increases, it is mainly the front lights whose design has been completely renewed. If their arrow structure is still present, we have the impression that the lower part is no longer connected to the upper part, with several modules without a structure. The new strip of daytime running LEDs is now visible, while it seems that between the two parts, we can distinguish the real car lights that are no longer connected in an arrow pattern, as in the current Qashqai. So it could be that Nissan played the card of unstructured lights, in several places, as it is now with many manufacturers.. And even in Nissan and X-Trail.

See you on April 17!

We also get a quick glimpse of the interior in this teaser. But at first glance, apart from maybe the modified images inside the infotainment itself, it seems that we get the current configuration.. In any case we notice the same steering wheel, the digital instrument behind the second whose screen is currently 12.3 inches and the central infotainment panel is 9 inches. Will they have grown with this restyling?

At the moment, in any case, there is no word on the engines of this revised Qashqai which should remain the same, perhaps with improvements on the utility side, to be confirmed. To find out for sure and find out everything that awaits us from this redesigned Nissan Qashqai, we will meet you on April 17 at 7 am French time!
