The stone sheep Klaus-Pepe chased him in a green Fiat

A very special guest was welcomed in the Lavanter Kirchtag: In bright sunlight, Klaus-Pepe, a white Tyrolean stone ram, drove to “Wirt’s Platzl” in a green Fiat Panda car trailer on 14 April. Pastor Siegmund Bichler welcomed the animal, which was bathed and presented to the audience with spring flowers in its fur. The procession started towards Kirchberg with Klaus-Pepe and the altar boys.

As soon as we arrived at the parish church of Saint Ulrich, the celebratory service opened, which was accompanied by the music of the Lavant male choir and during which Klaus-Pepe was blessed. Afterwards, those present gathered in the community hall, in the Römerstube and in the front hall. “Kuenz Buam” created the right atmosphere for a church day and got those present on the dance floor. The highlight of the festival, however, was the raffle. Klaus-Pepe was waiting for the lucky winner. He sold it to the owners of the Wachtschneiderhof in Lavant.
