Nissan is interesting with four future concepts at the same time

Nissan’s design studios and in this case also those of Chinese partner DongFeng have been working overtime. At the Beijing Auto Show, the Japanese manufacturer showed no less than four concept cars, which are probably more indicators of new production models. Primarily for China, but the new design language will probably trickle down to future Nissans coming to Europe.

Europe seems to be less and less ‘the center’ of the world car business. Of course, American and Asian cars have always been built that you couldn’t buy from us, but today there are probably more brands and sub-brands on our planet that we don’t know about than those that we can still look at in Belgian showrooms. At the same time, the selection of European players for the few players who play here also seems to be ‘thin’. For example, Honda is launching a sub-brand with the Ye that we will probably never see in our country, and Mazda and Nissan are now also launching a series of models that are almost exclusively destined for China.

Big screen

The Japanese manufacturer presents four concept cars with (from left to right in our collective photo) Era, Evo, Epoch and Epic. Two of them are elegantly wrapped and even attractive ‘smooth’ sedans, the other is solid and at the same time futuristic-looking SUVs. Of the duo, one has a plug-in hybrid and the other – you guessed it – a fully electric drive. Nissan hasn’t told us more about it yet, so for now it’s the design and the light bars in particular that should be interesting. The interior does that too, we already see it in three out of four cars. They have several large screens, the rest of the seating areas seem very modest. We have to wait and see what happens with future production models, which of course also applies to what we will or will not see in Europe.240425 Nissan Auto China 2024 Epic Press image 07 source
