It had to be immediate: Ford is selling the last units of the Galaxy. So if you want a new car with almost unlimited performance, then you have to hurry.
Ford Galaxy is, in fact, a phenomenon among new passenger cars. In an environment dominated by SUVs and, increasingly, electric cars, the big diesel car is a relic of a bygone era in European cars. However, along with the smaller S-Max, the Galaxy remained on the market for a long time. However, everything has an end – production is definitely stopped. However, you can still buy a new Galaxy from stock at Polish dealersso the proverbial final call to leave the showroom with a brand new, fully stocked car that was designed for high performance – and not just looks, as with off-road vehicles.
The new Ford Galaxy is now only available in Titanium specification, which is the middle of the range. From the outside, it is characterized by 17-inch alloy wheels, aluminum colored roof rails and chrome trim under the side windows. The car is also equipped with daytime running lights in LED technology and several options offered to Ford, incl. heated windshield i SYNC 3.2 multimedia system and navigation, volume control and radio and CD / MP3. He collaborates with 8 inch touch screenwith which you can “flip” the image from the smartphone (Android Auto / Apple CarPlay function). Also available Ford Pass Connect service providing access to the capabilities of the FordPass program (including remote unlocking and locking, viewing the location of the vehicle, traffic data, etc.). Instead of traditional indicators, the driver has a transparent one at his disposal digital clocks on the 10.1-inch display.
Despite the vast experience of the market, in Galaxy we will find technologies that are important from today’s point of view, helping to increase the safety of travelers. For the Titanium version there are, among others:
- Electronic Stability Control (ESC);
- Anti Rollover System (RSC);
- Road Maintenance Alert;
- road sign recognition system and intelligent limit; speed
- cruise control
For an additional fee or packages, a system to assist the driver in preventing or reducing the effects of a road collision was also offered (Pre-Collision Assistance), blind spot monitoring system (Blind Spot News), Traffic and Parking Control Assistant (Active Storage Support) These options can therefore be found in the new Galaxy from stock.
Among other curiosities in the equipment can be mentioned heated seats and steering wheel, three-zone air conditioning, front and rear parking sensors, keyless entry, push-button activation and a 230V socket in the center console.. Ford Dynamic LED “smart” headlights, a sunroof, parking cameras (front and rear), tailgate locking and AGR-approved comfort front seats were offered at an additional cost.
Every Ford Galaxy in good condition, it can transport 7 people in adjustable and folding armchairs. In the Titanium version, it is done using buttons in the trunk (Ford EasyPowerFold) – so you only need a few seconds to transport the car. 2339 l packages (2 person configuration). The final pieces of the Galaxy were combined with the following engines: 2 liter turbo diesel (EcoBlue) with 150 or 190 HPand hybrid car based on gasoline 2.5, developing 190 hp. The combination was only connected to the e-CVT, while the 190hp turbo diesel was equipped with an 8-speed automatic transmission and 150hp – and a manual transmission (6 gears). Only the EcoBlue / 190 HP variant was used with a 4 × 4 drive. According to Ford, all engine variants burn between 6.1 and 7 l / 100 km on the combined cycle. They also guarantee the same performance – about 10-11 seconds to 100 km / h.
The price list of Titanium models still available in the offer is opened by the amount 170 550 PLN for version 2.0 EcoBlue / 150 HP. The 190 horse version costs money PLN 188,050 (front car) or PLN 197,050 (4×4). The hybrid model was priced PLN 195,450 (FWD only).
