Full tour with Maserati in Ingolstadt: It has caused at least two accidents

The 31-year-old asked for symptoms last night, he was almost two in a thousand. Victims and witnesses should contact the police.

(ty) A drunken Maserati driver caused chaos in the city of Ingolstadt early yesterday evening and, according to the current state of the police investigation, caused at least two road accidents. As reported today, patrol officers found that the 31-year-old, who also lives in Ingolstadt, had an alcohol level of less than two parts per thousand. Therefore, the man had to have his blood sample taken and his driver’s license confiscated. He is now facing criminal charges and having his driver’s license revoked. Any injured parties or witnesses are asked to come forward.

According to their own statement, the police were notified by a road user at around 12:15 a.m. about a driver jumping a snake along the Western Ringstrasse. The collision is said to have occurred between this car, a black Maserati with Ingolstadt license plates, and another road user on Brodmühlweg. The Maserati driver was then led towards the Glacis Bridge. He reportedly drove his car over the road boundary several times and into oncoming traffic before turning left towards Schloßlände.

“Due to the careful driving style, several motorists had to take evasive action and brake hard to avoid the collision,” the report from the local police station said. The Maserati was found a short time later by patrol officers: it was parked near the Maritim Hotel with the engine running. “The driver involved was not in the vehicle, but returned to the scene a few minutes later,” said law enforcement. The man is 31 years old from Ingolstadt. A “strong odor of alcohol” was detected on him. A spontaneous breathing test showed a value of about two per thousand.

A blood sample was then ordered. The man’s driver’s license was also confiscated. As is known, a blood alcohol level of 1.1 or more at the wheel is a crime – drunk driving – even if no accident occurs and even if no one is in danger. If the accident occurs under the influence of alcohol, the charges are often for endangering the traffic on the road. According to the police, based on current knowledge, it can be assumed that the Maserati driver caused at least two accidents and endangered at least one road user on the Western Ring Road. People at risk and witnesses are asked to call (08 41) 93 43 – 22 22.
