GMC Teases 2025 Yukon Makeover

General Motors makes a large group of full-size SUVs with a lot in common, like the family that puts many brothers in the NFL as linemen. You know those. Law enforcement agencies and even the US military buy them wholesale. They follow the President’s limos.

Two of the group – Chevrolet Suburban and Chevrolet Tahoe received significant updates last winter. Chevy SUVs, we learned at the time, would get a heavy tech refresh and a bold new look.

The GMC Yukon and its all-wheel-drive Yukon XL variant appear to be next.

GMC teased an illustrated version of the Yukon this week. The company released a photo showing half of the front fascia. It wears a large C-bracket daytime running light that forms a wide hexagonal grille that may be smaller than the large grilles of the Suburban and Tahoe.

We can’t get more than that from the picture. But the major upgrade of the other siblings tells us that we can expect slightly different grilles for each trim level, a pair of large screens inside, and a security feature that allows you to view the car’s cameras from your phone when you’re away. it is.

The mechanical bits aren’t likely to change much, although GM did increase the power of the available turbodiesel engine in some, so there’s a possibility for GMC versions.

We will know more soon. GMC says the model will “be revealed later in 2024.” Automakers don’t usually wait months for exposure once they start showing pictures.

The last of the group is the Cadillac Escalade and its long variant Escalade ESV. There hasn’t been any word on their 2025 update. We wouldn’t be surprised if one happens next. Cadillac dealers have plenty of new vehicles on their hands, and the all-new Escalade IQ electric SUV is headed to showrooms soon.
