Hyundai i30 N Drive-N Limited Edition: 800 units will be built


(Motorsport-Total.com/Motor1) – Hyundai gives the i30 N (buy used Hyundai i30 N cars now) a more noticeable pep with a new special edition. The new Drive-N Limited Edition is available with either a standard six-speed manual gearbox or an eight-speed dual-clutch gearbox and will be given a single number plate to ensure it doesn’t get confused with the regular variant. Production is limited to 800 copies. 620 units are destined for Europe.

In the future, buyers can order a special model either in “Phantom Black Pearl” or in the newly introduced color “Serenity White Pearl”.

Regardless of the bodywork, the i30 N Drive-N Limited Edition gets stylish 19-inch forged wheels with a matte black finish, complemented by black Hyundai badges. To stand out from the regular i30 N, the South Korean brand uses retro side graphics, which can also be seen on the front and rear fascia.

Turbocharged 2.0 petrol engine with 280 hp

The exterior changes are rounded off by special plaques on the front fenders, where the GPS coordinates of the Hyundai Motor Europe Test Center at the Nürburgring can be found.

All performance cars have been developed and tested there since 2011. Apropos: A 2.0-liter turbocharged gasoline engine with 280 hp and 392 Newton meters of torque provides power. So the car that is also used in the N Performance cars of this series.

But behind the optics: there is even more red on the front seats, whose illuminated “N” marks are reminiscent of the Bavarian car brand.

The start of pre-orders is still unknown

Hyundai even went so far as to add special lettering to the floor mats. Similar to the regular i30 N, it has an N Grin Shift (NGS) knob that increases power by 10 hp in 20 seconds. The car is sold as a fully equipped model, including a glass roof and rear stiffness bar.

It is not yet known when orders can be accepted in Germany. And Hyundai is yet to comment on pricing either. The i30 N currently starts at 33,650 euros, the N Performance model is 3,250 euros more expensive at least 36,900 euros.
