Hyundai Tucson Facelift (2024): Price/Hybrid

The manufacturer pulls the plug on the Hyundai Tucson facelift (2024) – after the premiere in South Korea, now also in Germany. We know this about price, drives (mini/full hybrid/jazi-in) and the popular N Line.

Price: Hyundai Tucson Facelift (2024) from around 34,000 euros

Just in 2020, the significantly revised Tucson surprised the automotive world with how advanced Hyundai can be. Four years later, after innovations like the Ioniq 5 or the upcoming 6 and 7, we are already used to such a bold design. What’s always surprising, however, is the frequency with which Hyundai and its sister brand Kia revamp their cars or bring an entirely new generation to market. After the premiere in the country of origin South Korea, images and information about the Hyundai Tucson facelift are also available for Europe from April 2024.

However, the price has not yet been announced and it is difficult to estimate to what extent it could change: if the general situation were to pass, the current 33,440 euros (as of April 2024) would be difficult to maintain. But we are optimistic and say the SUV will mark 34,000. The popular N Line exceeds this limit – currently it is 43,390 euros. According to the manufacturer, the Hyundai Tucson facelift should arrive at dealers in “late summer” 2024. Also interesting: Tips for our products on Amazon

Drives: Everything but full electric

The South Korean will be available with various drive options: as a standard gasoline or diesel engine, with V 48 hybrid support or as a full hybrid or plug-in. What’s new is that the PHEV will not only be available with all-wheel drive, but will also be available as a front-wheel drive model. The manufacturer does not comment on performance data, but it is not expected that much will change in this regard with the Hyundai Tucson facelift (2024). That would mean: still 150 HP (110 kW) to 265 HP (195 kW). A software tweak or two can provide more functionality while reducing usage. The trailer load of the current predecessor is up to 1650 kg with brakes. This is likely to continue.

Exterior: Minor repairs

No major changes can be seen for the Hyundai Tucson facelift (2024) in the official images. The radiator grille is narrower and has a new grid design, the daytime running lights are round and the individual elements are reduced from five to four. The bottom apron looks more angular. The rims also show a new design, which luckily differs slightly from the first official photos from South Korea. The changes to the rear end are more subtle: only minor changes to the fenders and the proposed diffuser can be seen here. The current dimensions of 4510 mm in length, 1865 mm in width and 1653 mm in height are not likely to change.

Interior: A new operating concept

In the interior, Hyundai Tucson Facelift (2024) takes a step back for the haptic operation that is pleasing to many. A two-part display panel that includes a multi-instrument and infotainment screen (each 12.3 inches) sits on an air intake that covers the entire width of the interior. There is now a control unit in the middle with quick select buttons and knobs for radio, navigation and more, as well as climate and temperature controls and two extra knobs. The curved screen theme is complemented by a new title display.

The new wind assistant and occupant alarm are designed to ensure greater safety and comfort, which use radar to register and report movements in the interior when you leave to avoid forgetting children or pets. To save space on the center console, the gear selector lever was also moved to the steering wheel. Speaking of the steering wheel: The simple new design is very interesting here. Since the body does not seem to have changed, the storage space of the Hyundai Tucson Facelift (2024) should still be 620 to 1799 l.
