Jacques Villeneuve shows us his new candy pink Audi

Quebec driver Jacques Villeneuve, who will celebrate his 53rd birthday on Tuesday, has bought himself a present: an Audi RS 6 Avant made just for him and painted candy pink!

He ordered it and got it from the Audi Zentrum dealer in Varese, Italy.

In an English-language video posted on his Instagram account, Villeneuve explains that the RS 6 Avant was his dream car and that he had been waiting for it for more than two years. Pink is his favorite color and featured on his F1 helmet. Other final colors are available in different parts of the car, such as blue for the brake calipers, black for the roof rails and other trims, yellow for the interior seams, green for the embroidered “JV” logo. on seats and red belts.

The lettering on the right rear quarter window reads “Specially Designed for JV”.

By the way, pink is not a body color that Audi has in its Neckarsulm factory, so special permission had to be requested to get it and use it on the car of the former world champion.

An interview with Villeneuve and director of Audi Sport at the Zentrum dealership, Mirko Monteforte, explains more about the old man’s motivations and the design process, especially the interior and seats that combine blue and white cream:

Note that the RS 6 Avant performance car tops the A6 range with a 4-liter turbo V8. This has been modified for 2024, its power increases from 591 to 621 horses and increases its speed from 0 to 100 km / h, from 3.6 to 3.4 seconds. And as we wrote earlier this year, the new RS 6 GT is coming in 2025, limited to just 660 examples worldwide, including seven in Canada. It uses the engine of the Performance variant, but its design is more unique as it is inspired by that of the Audi 90 Quattro from the 1989 IMSA GTO Championship.
