Jaguar F-Type’s 5.0 liter V8 sounds like music to our ears. But if we listen carefully to the voice of the deaf, we hear a sad voice in it. That from where, why.
This is our last chance to experience the joy of the Jaguar F-Type. Where does the road we must travel lead? From Sitges on the Mediterranean Sea to San Sebastian on the Atlantic Ocean. Then it’s up and done with the F-Type and the Jaguar V8.
The Jaguar F-Type will never come back
The cat in the corner flies amazingly, so the ailing Jaguar decided a few years ago to become an all-electric brand. This must be done in 2025, so a lot will change in the next two years.
With the disappearance of the F-Type, seventy-five years of Jaguar sports cars come to an end, because there is no (electric) successor ready. The delivery plan was cut some time ago.
Rear wheel drive and 450 hp V8
Versions with the V6 are gone. Get inside of the Jaguar F-Type now available from 112,368 euros for the P300 RWD Coupé with the 300 hp turbo four-cylinder. We choose the P450 RWD Convertible with the V8.

Our car is an F-Type 75. A farewell special edition with 20-inch alloy wheels, black exterior details and standard sports seats. It is painted in a beautiful Giola Green, which reminds us of Aston Martin Racing Green.
The F-Type remains a timeless beauty
Type F is timeless beauty. Ian Callum’s twelve-year-old design – which we first saw on the 2011 CX-16 Concept – has not lost its impact.
The undisputed star is the supercharged V8
The undisputed star of the show is the 5.0-liter supercharged V8 up front. In P450 form it delivers 450 hp and 580 Nm of torque. The rear-wheel drive Convertible we’re driving has a top speed of 285 km/h.
Start Vera Lynn, because the Jaguar F-Type doesn’t have much time left
The AJ133 is a great engine, pushing you through seas of torque. With the eight-speed ZF gearbox in automatic mode, the F-Type is a fantastic cruiser. The transmission does its job undetected and ensures near seamless speed.
- Amazing engine
- Timeless beauty
- Best directly
- Lots of wind noise
- Cheap plastics
- Slow infotainment
An old fashioned sports car to love, with a killer V8 that rules everything. It’s not modern anymore, but that’s what makes him unstoppable.
