Mercedes-Benz G-Class goes electric. It has been officially revealed Mercedes-Benz G 580 with EQ technologycapable of giving off-road sensations and otherwise, in full electric mode, remaining true to the DNA that has always distinguished the Stuttgart Star SUV.

Four electric motors to get anywhere

The exterior now has a powerful “electric look” with an optional black panel radiator grille. The fully electric variant differs from other conventional models with some special features, such as a slightly raised bonnet and so-called air curtains in the rear wheel arches and in the design box at the back. And again, the new A-pillar cover is now visible along with the roof spoiler lip, which helps to improve aerodynamics.

Inside, comfort and technology are key words. The lids are finished in natural pore walnut wood as standard. The current generation steering wheel with touch controls is wrapped in nappa leather as standard. Ambient lighting and leather upholstery are also part of the standard equipment. Infotainment is entrusted to MBUX which offers intuitive operation, dynamic software and voice assistant with conversational capabilities, all managed by a 12.3-inch display for the driver and media with touch controls. Advanced MBUX rear seat entertainment is also available, with two fully integrated 11.6-inch touchscreen displays.

The new all-electric G-Class will be launched on the market special edition FIRST EDITION, known for five finish colors: MANUFAKTUR south sea blue magno, metallic black obsidian, MANUFAKTUR opalite magno white, MANUFAKTUR opalite bright white and MANUFAKTUR classic solid gray.
