Michael Weinig has been in charge of sales at Mitsubishi Germany since the beginning of December. As the company announced on Thursday, the 58-year-old has replaced Jens Schulz, who is now the managing director of Ora’s Chinese manufacturing company in Germany. Behind the Ora – just like behind the Mitsubishi – is the Emil Frey Group as importer.

Weinig was most recently Regional Manager of the Northern Region at Mitsubishi. He has worked for the company since the Emil Frey Group joined in 2014 and was recently responsible, among other things, for the restructuring of Mitsubishi’s marketing organization. Before joining Mitsubishi, the manager gained more than 20 years of sales experience with Asian automakers. In his new job, Weinig reports to Mitsubishi Germany boss Werner H. Frey.
Frey says: “We are very pleased that Michael Weinig is taking on the role of Head of Marketing.” Along with the ASX and Colt, Mitsubishi will introduce important new models in the coming year, “and thanks to Michael Weinig’s vast experience, he will make a solid contribution to that we will continue to expand our presence in key growth areas”.
