SPX/Cologne. For the new model year, Lexus has slightly revised its UX mid-size crossover. The most important changes: The system performance of the 4.50 meter long UX 250 hybrid model increases from 135 kW/184 HP to 146 kW/199 HP. In the F Sport and Luxury Line equipment variants, the 2.0-liter four-cylinder gasoline engine like the UX 250h E-Four always works with all-wheel drive, so it has a second electric motor on board for the rear axle. Lexus says hybrid consumption as 5.0 – 5.2 liters for the front-wheel drive model and 5.6 to 5.7 liters for the all-wheel drive.

The 8-inch multi-information display in the center of the cockpit has also been revised, increasing to 12.3 inches from the Executive Line trim level. For the first time, customers can also choose an interior package without leather and fabric or imitation leather seats.

A new driver monitor with a camera on the steering column is intended to ensure greater safety. It detects when the driver is distracted or tired and can brake the car in a controlled manner to a stop if the driver does not respond to the warning signals.

Lexus has not yet announced the price, the UX 250h will probably be available from around 43,000 euros, the all-wheel drive model from around 57,000 euros. In addition, the UX 300e remains to be offered as an electric vehicle only. Lexus fully updated this model, which is available from 50,900 euros, a year ago.
