NTC 2024: Test in Oschersleben / circuit from today

World Cup promoter Dorna, manufacturer Honda and ADAC have joined forces to give young drivers a platform to be promoted to the international level this year. Before the season begins, dress rehearsals are scheduled for this weekend. The competition takes place at the Motorsport Arena Oschersleben.

The test gives the 24 riders from Northern Europe selected by the panel an important opportunity to improve their skills and prepare for the upcoming season. The first round will take place alongside the Superbike World Championship in Assen from April 19 to 21.

This year there are ten new rookies who want to make their mark on the starting grid. In addition to the guests, you will also see familiar faces, such as NTC race winners Martin Vincze (VM Racing Team), Levin Phommara (Phommara-Racing) and the best musician of 2022, Jurrien Van Crugten (BB64 Academy). NTC is pleased with the return of David Sidorov (Arda Moto Racing Team), who had to take a break due to injury.

The pre-season test at Oschersleben will be the perfect opportunity for the riders to get a feel for their new machine as the Youth Cup moves to the Honda NSF250 R. This move brings the talent factory in line with similar competitions such as the Idemitsu Asia Talent Cup, and as a large part of the Road of MotoGP, the Cup also welcomes Pirelli as an official tire supplier. Motul is the official lubricant supplier and the Cup is switching to E40 fuel, taking an important step towards sustainability.
